The End of the World

The end of the world! The end of this age / the last hour. Millions of Christians are confused, because they do not read the clear description of Jesus about the end of the World in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke.  Many people believe that we live in the last days and the world is speeding to its end. The misinterpretation of Daniel's prophecies gave birth to hundreds of end of the world books and movies, most of these movies give us the perception that our physical (cosmos) world is nearing its end, and will ultimately be destroyed by fire. These novels are motivated by fear and false doctrines and religions and are now leading millions of people astray. Confusion and superstition reign in the religious world, everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die. Many believers are being tied down by the weight of man maid doctrines and religions, and thousands of Christians believes that they will escape the doom and terror that awaits by flying out of this world in the so called rapture. I want to make it clear that: any belief system or doctrine motivated or driven by fear cannot be from God, because God did not give us a spirit of fear but of love and a sound mind. All this idiocy makes a mockery of Jesus Christ, and it nullifies the redemption work of the cross. According to this novels and doctrines Jesus' death was in vain. I hope that the following verses will clarify a lot of these myths and errors. God will never withdraw His covenant of peace.Eze 37:26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will give blessings to them and multiply them and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. (Eternity) God will never be angry with humanity again.Isa 54:9 For this is like the days of Noah to Me; as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you. Isa 54:10 For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. This will be an everlasting covenant.Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant Nobody and nothing will be able to snatch you out of the Father's hand.Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one . No principalities or power or human will be able to separate you from Christ.Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. His dominion and kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom.Dan 6:26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and steadfast forever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. The end of the world prophesies. In all three of the gospel books Mark, Luke and Matthew Jesus ends His prophesies in more and less the same way;                      Luke 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.  Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Mar 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Mar 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. It is evident that Jesus was speaking to a specific generation, and he made it clear that most of the people in His audience will by no means die before all of these end time prophesies are for filled. He also stated that some off his audiences would witness the coming of His kingdom. Also note that He said that all these prophecies would be fulfilled, before the generation that lived in His day and age will come to an end. Also note that Jesus was specific and precise with his audience and cities…                   Luke 21:21 Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into. Luke 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: Mar 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, let (him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains: Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. The above verses should clarify the fact that Jesus spoke to the people in Judea during His day and age and not to the entire world. Jesus did not refer to modern day countries, and there is no way that we can make these prophesies relevant to our day age, or even make this a futuristic prophesy or event. Also note that Luke 21:20 states that Jerusalem will be surrounded or compassed by armies. No one will know the hour of the son of man.Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Now remember Jesus said no one in this generation will die before all these prophesy are for filled. Joh 7:30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. Joh 8:20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. Joh 12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Mat 26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Joh 16:32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. No man could touch or harm Jesus before His hour came to pass, all previous attempts to try and capture Jesus had failed because no one new His hour.Only after Jesus said; "the hour is at hand" were they able to capture Him. The hour was not only referring to his death but also to the hour that He will be resurrected and glorified. The Son of man will be coming in a cloud with power and great glory.Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. For many years we believed that Jesus will come on a cloud, but the scripture states He will come in a cloud or in clouds with great power and glory. In Acts we read that a cloud received Him…Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. In the gospels we see something interesting: Luke 9:34 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud. Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. Mat 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Mat 17:6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.Mar 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. They were afraid to enter into the cloud; can this be the same cloud that received Jesus in acts? Heb 12:1 (ampl) THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Let's try to understand who or what this cloud of witnesses is …Mat 24:31 and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Mar 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Mat 27:45-54 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elijah. And straightaway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. Did you notice that many bodies of the saints, which slept, arose, and came out of their graves and testified of Jesus…These are the same people or cloud of witnesses (they bare witness to the fact that Jesus resurrected them from the dead) that received Jesus in all His Glory…I hope you understand that all Gods people that died all over the world before the cross was resurrected in that moment and showed themselves to all the people.Even at the grave of Jesus they told Mary. Mar 16:1-7 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulcher at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulcher? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.             Luk 24:1-8 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, Now Matthew tells us an interesting story…Mat 28:1-6 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.  His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. From studying the events above we are certain than the angels and the saints (which were made alive) were the first to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, after His crucifixion. We have also come to the knowledge that Jesus Christ came with His angels in Glory and might to testify of His resurrection…All this happened when they (the generation living in Jesus' age) were still alive.  Jesus came for the second time in all his Glory and with the saints and with His angels to testify that He has the authority over the dead and everything that is in the heaven and on earth. The Son of Man Seated at the right hand of the FatherMat 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Luk 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. Act 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, Act 7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; The last days or last Hour1Jo 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1Pe 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Heb 1:1-3 God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Act 2:15-21 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. The last communion.Luke 22:18 For I say to you that from now on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine at all until the kingdom of God comes. Luke 24:30 And it occurred that as He reclined at table with them, He took [a loaf of] bread and praised [God] and gave thanks and asked a blessing, and then broke it and was giving it to them Luke 24:31 When their eyes were [instantly] opened and they [clearly] recognized Him, and He vanished (departed invisibly). End of the world LukeLuke 21:5-33 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? And what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. MatthewMat 24:1-34 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. MarkMar 13:1-30 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, let (him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains: And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take anything out of his house: And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. End of the World: What People are Saying About It

Not to be a party pooper, but you do realize that the world is going to end next year, don't you? Many people are claiming that the world is going to end next year that in fact, 2012 is basically synonymous to the end of the world. You can try Googling the date and all you will probably find is a lists of predictions and theories concerning how we are going to be wiped off the face of the planet. Whether you believe it or not though, it's a great idea to keep abreast into the latest doomsday predictions that are running the rounds. A few of the popular and most well-believed predictions are listed below. The Great FloodThis is probably what you fear the most out of all the doomsday predictions. I mean, think about it, if the world is going to be covered in water, what are your chances of surviving? You could probably survive earthquakes or even a sudden ball of fire or even freezing temperatures but how do you escape the great flood? Most people that the world will end through this since, didn't the world sort of end like this during the time of Noah? Though there are really no evidence to show otherwise, the Christian belief is so embedded in all of us that it is easy for us to believe so. Magnetic Pole ReversalIt might sound fancy but it basically means one thing: the north and south pole will be reversed and that this reversal will cause extreme calamities and natural disasters. In fact, scientists believe that during the short time that this happens, the Earth and of course us who are in it, will be exposed to the harmful rays of the sun. It is not clear whether being exposed to it will burn the surface of the planet but the most popular theory is that during that time, the surface of the Earth will probably be too hot. So, end of the world predictions and theories would have you choose between two things: to drown or to burn. In the end, I take these doomsday end of the world theories in stride. Fear is a great motivator and it helps me live my life to the fullest everyday but I do not let these fears get the best of me. If and when the world is going to end, I believe that I won't have any control of it and the only thing I can do is to prepare my family and myself the best way I can. End of the World Countdown - The Day When Michael Shall Stand Up

This intriguing countdown to the end of the world as chronicled in the eleventh and twelfth chapters of the book of Daniel shows clearly how end-time events will reach their apex. When you coordinate this prophecy with chapters 2, 7, and 8, you will see clearly that Daniel 11 is likewise a parallel prophecy of the succession of world kingdoms leading up to the end of the world. The countdown of end-of-the-world events from the utterances of different prophets and the records of various Bible writers must not be analyzed in isolation. Very often I see where different theologians in their commentaries on end-time Bible prophecies often fall down when it comes to consistency of analysis. One of the areas of inconsistency is found in the identification of the angel Michael. Many Bible commentators make it appears that the deliverance referred to in Daniel 12:1 will be the work of an ordinary angel and not of Christ. Who is Michael? The word Michael in the Hebrew language means 'one who is like God'. This seems to be the description of a being with Godlike attributes that earns Him such a reputation. When I think about this definition of Michael two Bible references would immediately come to mind. In Exodus 3:2-5, it is said that it was "the angel of the Lord" that Moses worshipped at the burning bush; in Joshua 5:13-15, it was an angel that Joshua worshipped when, with drawn sword, He announced Himself as the Captain of the Lord's host. The divine Angel whose voice will raise the dead at His coming According to the book of Jude, Michael is said to be the archangel (vs 9). If this archangel is worthy of worship, then He must be Christ, the Son of God. The only two beings in the universe that are worthy of worship are the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb (Christ) (Rev. 4:8-11; 5:8; 21:22; Jn 5:23, and none of the angelic beings that are under the command of this divine Angel should be so regarded (Col. 2:18; Rev. 19:10; 22:8, 9). In agreement with this position, the apostle Paul clearly teaches that that same angel of the Lord (the Rock) who was with Israel in the wilderness, and who was worshipped by Joshua and Moses, was Christ (1Cor. 10:1-4; Exod. 23:20-23)! This is not an orthodox view but if we follow the biblical countdown of end-of-the-world events we will see the clear, consistent teaching that it will be Christ who, "with the voice of the archangel" (Michael) (Thess. 4:16), will deliver His people in the time of the end and call forth the righteous from the dead (Jn 5:28, 29). That is precisely the scenario that was set forth in Daniel 12 in connection with Michael standing up. Here is what verse 2 says, "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." The One who will deliver His people from the Antichrist's oppression In Daniel 11:45, it is stated that the king of the north (the Antichrist) will come to his end and none shall help him. As the prophecy continues into chapter 12, you will clearly see that it is at that point that Michael shall stand up. It is when Michael stands up that the Antichrist will be destroyed. But if we should accept the clear truth that the king of the north and the Antichrist are one and the same, then we cannot escape the clear implication of the Paul's teaching in his second epistle to the Thessalonians. In his unique countdown of events leading up to the end of the world, he declared that this 'man of sin' will be destroyed by the spirit (word) of Christ's mouth and by the brightness of His coming (2Thess. 2:3-8). Furthermore, if we can accept the fact that the 'man of sin' and the beast of Revelation 13 are identical, then we must also accept the inevitable conclusion that John's account of the King of kings and Lord of lords, who was seen riding on a white horse, executing judgement on the beast and the false prophet in Revelation 19, is a repetition of the same end-time scenario in Daniel 12:1. Make sure you are on the same side with the Captain of the Lord's host As the end of the world draws near we need to pay attention to the biblical countdown of all the events and coordinate them into one narrative for a better understanding of end-time Bible prophecy. Our present duty as Christians is to make sure that when that time comes, when Michael shall stand up, we are not found on the side of the oppressors but on the side of this mighty Captain of the Lord's host, with our names written in the Book of Life.     Retrieved from "http://www.articlesbase.com/religion-articles/end-of-the-world-countdown-the-day-when-michael-shall-stand-up-4335205.html" (ArticlesBase SC #4335205) Start increasing your traffic today just by submitting articles with us, click here to get started. 2012 - Is It the End of the World?

Being scientists who are skeptical of any paranormal activity they set out to prove once and for all that the Shamans of Mesoamerica could have their experience documented and scientifically analyzed. Their theory was that the spiritual ecstasies ascribed to the Shamans was to be found in the chemical constituents of the local brew that has the effect of enhancing such spiritual activities. They subjected the local brew derived from a local herb native to the Amazon, called ayahuasca, to scientific analysis and discovered it contains the compound chemically known as dimethyltryptamine and harmine, which is a beta carboline. In plain language, these are chemicals necessary for enhanced brain activities that resemble the natural secretions from the pineal gland. They took the herbs themselves to ascertain the efficacy through experiences, and experienced what was later described as altered state of consciousness. Their research led them to linking the activity of the herb to the Chinese principle of I-chang. I-chang deals with the several combinations of positive and negative forces, called the ying and yang, to produce a definite union. They noted that the symbols of ying and yang could be combined into hexagrams, sixty four hexagrams showing all the possible combinations. In a lengthy research too complex to explain here, they were able to access information on Nuclear Deoxyribonucleic Acid, DNA, and were able to measure the wavelengths of radiations coming from atoms and subatomic particles involved. They were able to create what they described as a time wave for these particles. They were also led to apply the same principle to bigger entities like the earth, creating a time wave of history. They discovered that all the waves syndronised - both the earth and atomic waves - just once, and that was the year 2012 AD. That was the joint peak of all was. They published their work titled ''The invisible Landscape,'' in 1975. Meanwhile, quite independently, an American Jose Arguelles, published a book he entitled ''The Mayan factor''. The focus of his book was the ancient civilization of the Mayans of South America. When Cortez invaded their land in 507AD, most of their sacred writings were destroyed by the conquistadors. However, five of the books were able to be saved. Today, they are kept in different parts of Europe - Dresden, Paris, Madrid, Prague and Croatia. One thing that struck archeologists was that the calendars, which were part of the recovered writings, abruptly ended in December 21, 2012. THE MAYAN CALENDER To understand how the data was arrived at, it is necessary to look at the Mayan dating system. The height of the Mayan classical period can be said to date from 300 - 900 AD. During this period, they flourished in their civilization. In their culture, religion, philosophy, Science, Astronomy and prophesy were all intertwined together. The Mayans have over seventeen different calendars based on the researches, though only a few survived the conquistadors. Some of them dates back to millions of years and cannot be decoded. But out of the ones that survive, we can only talk of a two important ones. The first is what is called the Haab cycle. This calendar is completely earth based. This consists of eighteen months of twenty days each. That gives us 360 days year. The nineteenth months is only five days and according to some scholars, are regarded as five ceremonial days, which they called Vayeb. The American researcher Jose Arguelles designated July 26 each year as the Mayan New Year, which is probably divided into July 21 as the end of the year and five festival days. The second is the normal moon calendar of 28 days month. It consists of 13 lunar cycles - adapted closely to our modern Gregorian calendar. Out of these two cycles, the Haab cycle is used for ceremonial events. July 21 is therefore their new year or the cosmic turning point for them each year. It is through this that the popular Mayan long count called the Tzolkin, emanated from. This count is used for ceremonial and ritual events. It is based on the astronomical movement of the constellation Pleiades in the universe, in relation to the earth. It should be noted that the Mayans developed a system of astronomy not dependent on our modern equipments but intuition based, hence, there were things that were taken up and known as a matter of course by the Mayans which our own erudite scholars are at a loss to understand and interpret. Their simple nature made them environment friendly.. Thus theconstellation Pleiades ' was called T'zab, which translated means the tail of a rattlesnake. The revolution of our sun, the centre of our system, round the Pleiades' is known astronomically to be 25,770 yrs. The rotation is given as a cycle of 260 days. From the Mayans, their sacred numbers are 13, 18 and 20. Hence, 260 days is given as 13 x 20 days, which corresponds to the nine - month's gestation period of the human being. Some other little coincidences exist. For example, there are 13 lunar cycles, 20 amino acids in the DNA, and 260 different cells in the body. The Mayans calendar has days which they called kin, twenty days make one month (Ulinal), 13 months make one year (Tun) twenty years make one K' atoon, which is 7200 days, and20 k' atuns make 144,000 days.(Are these numbers familiar?). 144,000 days is called a Baktun. Mapping with modern calendar How do we now correlate the Mayan calendar with the Gregorian calendar? This was precisely the question that Mayan scholars sort to answer. In 1992, the university of Guatemala, after rigorous research came up with the idea of using a common astrological event. For this they chose the eclipse of the sun that happened in July1, 1991. This was predicted using the calendar of the Mayans. Though the prediction was not particularly accurate, it gave a basis for the calibration of the long count using the Gregorian calendar. It was off by eleven days. Using the Dresden codex, they determined the starting point of the long count as Wednesday, 13 August 3114BC and the end date as Dec. 21, 2012 AD. There have been other attempts at mapping, but the universally accepted one is the one of the University of Guatemala, generally referred to as G.M.T. This stands for Goodman, Martinez, Hernandez, the researchers headed by Eric Thompson. The long count coincides with the procession of the equinoxes. This comprises 5,125.40yrs cycle, which coincides with 13 Baktuns, and referred to as the great cycle. It means that 13 August 3114 BC is Day one in the current count, which is referred to as zero kin, zero ulinals, zero tuns, zero k'atun and zero Baktuns. It is depicted as 0.0.0.0.0., while Dec. 21, 2012 reads 13.0.0.0.0., Monday, 19 October 2009 reads 12.19.16.14.1 Dec 21, 2002 is therefore called the Mayan end date, or Galactic Convergence, because all cycles-long and short, atomic and subatomic, peak on that day. The last cycle was said to have began on September 20 1618. This is the beginning of the last Baktun. The last phase of the galactic great cycle began in 1992. From then, according to researchers, a quickening of time became noticeable. Even the landing of Cortez at the shores of the Mesoamerican tribes was on Good Friday, the beginning of a new cycle. IS IT THE END TIME? What is the significance of all these to mankind? As soon as "The Mayan Factor" was published, all hell, as they say, was let loose. Mystics, Seers, chanellers, prophets, doomsday fanatics all set to work. It isthe end of the world, some say. So many works were written on it. In fact, the McKenna brothers had to revise their work, giving it a specific date, the Mayan end date. So much hackneyed phrases entered into the general lexicon. On that day the world undergoes a "quantum leap in consciousness", "changes from the fourth to the fifth world". The present "linear fission of time" will "transform into multidimensionality." There is as varied an opinion as there are scholars. But basically, their ideas can be summarized in the following: The beginning of the time of the god-men on earth, resulting in a period of peace; The emergence and integration of the Divine Feminine into all aspects of society. The change from the fourth world to fifth world The collision of the earth with an asteroid from outer space. The taking over of the earth by aliens from other space, The end of the world as we know it and The reversal of North and South Pole. So many other researchers and writers now try to gear their researches towards the Mayan end date, re-interpreting and re-inventing prophesies and predictions anew. Let us look at those prophesies and their new interpretations. The fourth world, of a highly materialistic nature, ends up on 16th August 1987, which according to Carlos Barrios in his book "Kam Wuj, El Libzo del Destino", is a time of global convergence of environmental destruction and natural disasters which culminate in the year 2012, the beginning of a time of peace and harmony, the fifth world. This corresponds to the ideas of the Hopi Indians, Elders and Eskimos. their prophesies are without end dates. The period, when the "Blue Star Kachina" will appear in the sky, according to Hopi Indians. Once again, the Hopis never gave a date to these things. The Billy Meier contacts of aliens who gives him prognosis of the future. Once again, Billy never clearly stated what will happen in 2012. THINGS ARE NOT WHAT THEY SEEM In trying to understand the tears of the researchers, spirits and the "ascended masters", let us examine their expectations in greater details. Take the issue of the time of god-men for example. Anything that does not accord with the natural creational laws will definitely meet a brick wall during the transitional period to the time of peace. To these belong the wrong concepts that have thus far prevailed among mankind. Most deal with misunderstanding and making earthly of Divine promises that has reached mankind over eons of time. Part of these misconceptions is the issue of Divine Masculine, or god-men, and Divine Feminine, or god-women. Ancient prophesies indicate that there will be a time of a God-man and Divine Feminine - One female being. This is meant to coincide with the time of the purification of the earth such God-man will naturally live on earth and bring his Divine knowledge to mankind. Those who follow his teachings are imbued with his power to effect spiritual changes on earth. But they themselves are blessed in that regard, but can never become god-men themselves. The same applies to the Divine Feminine. She alone can be regarded as Divine, because she came from the Divine realm, and her presence on earth is meant to strengthen all nobility in womanhood that, through this, a new breed of women will arise who will lead in the new time. So it is not the divine feminine but noble womanhood that will be integrated into the society. We are already in the midst of this time. But the danger lies in trying to fix specific timing for these things. Attempts to do this have already caused much havoc and loss of faith at the turn of the century, when people believed that the year 2000 will mark the end of the world. But no renowned prophet has ever given the timing to the end of the present system of things for one simple reason. It is not known, though the closer the time approaches, the more accurate the predictions could be. In The Light of Truth the Grail Message gives us clarity. Is 2012 The End Of The World? Maybe It Is

Is our whole prediction about the world ending in 2012 the reality of the situation, or is it just nonsense? Can this 2012 doomsday prophecy really honestly be in control of any merit? At no time formerly in the people of this world's history of the human race has a individual event been so decidedly critical to the Earth's inhabitants.                   Seriously, since you are reading this, then you probably already understand the essentialness of this subject matter. A few of the very endless ideas that are included in this immense world in 2012 subject matter are: mathematics, astrometry, worship, spirituality, ancient culture, seers, the Hopi and Mayan people. This short list is just to produce for you a very small selection. Now from which direction did all this 2012 clatter derive from? I am here to address the fact that a minority of the nations are presuming that this whole thing started from the movie, however, this whole thing emerged way before that. This titillating idea that something sensational is arising on this 2012 date has been discovered all throughout all of the ancient knowledge of the earth. The most well known examples embody the Hebrew Bible, one of the oldest of Chinese texts known as the I Ching, and Michel de Nostredame just to give a sprinkling. Most of these samplings are painfully strong and have survived all this time for a very important reason. If we pay attention we see that it doesn't burden us that these samples maybe sound dated. We can understand that in astrometry this end of the world 2012 doomsday topic has immense distinction. This truthfully is the shifting into the Age of Aquarius; it is at its vital place during this time. Realizing this information moves us on the campaign into the beginning of our age. A grand mass of women and men will be shaking their heads when hearing this last paragraph. How can we possibly affirm that a civilization who stopped living so may years ago could possess any documentation about 2012 doomsday that have any gravity? Today's society may not get the concepts that this ancient society was putting down, but I know we are progressed enough to figure out that it is possible that they are not mistaken. Realizing this could unequivocally influence whether we survive this 2012 situation or not. After you aquire a generous amount of time studying such things you come to know that they are accurate. Not only were the Mayans exceedingly experienced in the subject matter of mathematics; they were also tremendously masterful in the subject matter of astrometry. With the Mayans calendar they also possess a kind of algebraic device that is also fantastically perfect. The ancient Mayans calendar and the geometrical device have been established by mathematicians for their correctness in predicting the end of times. Mapping of the stars has been used to farther confirm these ends. These ones here honestly are an inconsequential amount of the diverse prophecies that all call attention to the gravity of this date. 2012 Is Not The End Of The World ( What They Want You To Believe Or Is There Truth In The Statement?)

The End Of The World Is Not 2012...A statement that many would like to have you believe, but can it be proven either way? First of all let's look at why the statement has been posed to begin with. Hollywood released 2012 the movie in late 2009, basing it on the theory of the Mayan calendar that dates back to early 6th Century BC. This calendar which has been responsible for predicting various world events like earthquakes, floods and other substantial phenomena abruptly comes to an end on the 21st of December 2012. Why does it end there and what is the interpretation of this ending? One theory of why the Mayan calendar ends on the21st of December 2012 is that they simply had to end it somewhere. As simplistic as this sounds, I personally don't subscribe to this thought. The Mayans were genius when it came to all things Mathematical and Astronomy based. They managed to accurately predict earth changing events in our past and their predictions were held in high regard by notable people such as Nostradamus. Other theories are that the Mayans had "seen" a point in our future-their future, where the events were so catastrophic the earth would cease to exist. This theory can be backed by scientific research into the Earth aligning with the Milky Ways Equator for the first time in over 25,000 years. This is thought to provoke a violent shift in the Earths poles and subsequently the north pole would "flip" and become the south pole. Another school of thought is that it is the end of the world as we know it. And as such, the human race would embark on a new Spiritual Awakening that will see the racial divides, poverty, hunger and other human plights end and we as a race would be transformed into a new world of living. This seems reasonably plausible and to be honest, my choice of the two scenarios! However, how is this Spiritual Awakening going to come about when there are generations of hatred and poverty that cannot surely be erased on one single day? There is quite a large following that will have you believe just that, and then there are those that have interpreted it as Christs return. Whatever the scenario, I'm sure you'll agree that it is the far more attractive of the two options. When it comes to figuring out as to whether this is a sensationalized misinterpretation of an ancient calendar, or whether the Scientific backing of a shift in the Earths poles are substantial enough to tie it to the abrupt ending of the calendar is truly a debate that can only be solved by getting to the 21st of December itself. Sarah Gladman - About the Author: The End Of The World is a concept that affects each of us, regardless of whether we believe that the world will simultaneously explode or whether it will signal a new spiritual awakening for each of us. What is known is that the Mayan civilisation were a most fastidious and mathematical of people and the accuracy with which they have predicted events in our past, is truly astounding. What is also most interesting is the interpretation of the calendar ending, in my opinion. To some it is a doomsday warning sparking the end of the world and the destruction of the human race. Others believe it will be the end of pain and suffering, and the human race will awaken to a new spiritual order. Others believe along a similar spiritual line that it signifies the second coming of Christ. Whatever the result on the 21st of December, the only way to truly know what will indeed transpire is to be there. I found some wonderful information and facts on 2012 End Of World Prediction that has helped me sleep alot better at night. So much of the information that we seek for answers on this subject is hidden away in mostly government files. To piece together cover ups and to make an informed decision on what I believe will happen in December 2012 was only possible after reading and educating myself on the matter. I wish for you and your family to have as much knowledge as possible on what you will do when December 2012 comes around. 2012: End of the World?

Well the Mayan Calender says so and so does the I Ching! Are you sure about that? If you believe in 2012: End of the World because of the Time Wave, maybe you should know the facts. Just because some guy strung out on psychadelic drugs says that the I Ching agrees with the Mayan Long Count calender end date means absolutely nothing. In fact, the I Ching is not a calendar, nor was it ever used as one. Why would someone concoct a reason to force two ancient and well known systems for opposite uses to have the same ending date? An excellent question! Does the Maya’s ancient Long Count calendar really predict the end of the world? You will be very interested in learning that every webpage, magazine and television show that has created a great deal of hubbub about this end of the Mayan Long Count uses the Aztec Sun Stone as their imagery. Why are they all showing you the wrong artifact while telling you that 2012: End of the World is coming? Niburu is coming back and will collide with Earth smashing it in half. Yes, that’s what a lot of Sumerian crazed followers are claiming. There is a great deal of support for this said missing planet’s reappearance in our solar system. However, no where is there a prediction or prophecy that Niburu is coming back and its arrival is coinciding with 2012: End of the World. One thing of note, an odd disturbance is going on out there beyond our realm of sight that is causing Pluto to behave rather oddly. So is the real Planet X, a.k.a. Niburu at this moment getting ready to plunge toward Earth? What about the Hopi Indians and their legends of prophecy for the next age? Did they predict this year 2012 end of the world too? First of all, these are not just the Hopi people’s legends, actually the Hopi are the record keepers for all of the brother tribes. That would be all North American Indian tribes and people. The Blue Star Kachina is coming. When he dances in the plaza for all the people to see, things will not bode well for Earth will rock to and fro like the shaking of a child who has been misbehaving. Do the Hopi agree with the Mayan predictions for Year 2012: End of the World? It agrees with our current Mayan age of man ending on a Day of Movement as their Long Count calendar does. This age of humanity began with major disrupting movement on the planet, and will end with the same kind of events. Then there are the Inca predictions too. None of this stuff is in the Bible, so it can’t possibly be true! You might want to read the book from cover to cover again. No, the bible doesn’t state, Year 2012: End of the World. If you read it with your mind open and your television silenced, you might just realize that it says a great deal more now than the last time you read it. Maybe you just weren’t paying attention to what the verses were trying to tell you in an ancient tongue, with limited knowledge. So exactly what does it say that agrees with these other predictions and prophecies? "For then shall be great tribulations such as not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, none ever shall be." Matthew 24:21 Not since the beginning of the world to this time. That would definitely give credence to this being the 4th age of man for the Mayas and the 4th world for the Hopi. There is even a verse in the Bible that states that at the end of times, the world will 'shake to and fro'. The man on the white horse who arrives in Revelations 19:11? He is the same figure as Kalki from the Hindu puranas. Both of whom come to cleanse the world in the end of days and wearing white robes with sword at ready. What about Merlin, Nostradamus and The Web Bot? What about the crop circle predictions and polar shift? What about all the other things you haven’t a clue are being said. What things are true as opposed to which ones are disinformation? You really don’t have any time to waste, December 21, 2012 is only months away, not decades. Something this life altering is best to approach it with your mind and eyes wide open. If 2012: End of the World is real, what are you really going to do about your future or the future of your loved ones? Do you really want to just accept what everyone else thinks, or would you rather to be able to decide for yourself what is fact, what is fiction and what you mean to do about all of it? You won't find answers in a blockbuster movie or on the television screen. You can't harness the power of your mind if it is hooked up to the programmer. End of the world countdown

The countdown to the end of the world in Malachi 4 presents a summary description of what will be the lot of the wicked in the final destruction. What is being described seems to coincide with the testimonies of prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah and John. What is significant about this prediction in the book of Malachi is the commentary on the final efforts that God will make to salvage sinners prior to "the great and dreadful day of the Lord" (Mal. 4:5), and the eternal destiny of the redeemed.   The prediction of a fiery destruction According to the first verse of Malachi 4, the Lord will send fire upon the earth which will burn up the wicked and bring them to ashes. This particular verse is very interesting because it seems to contradict the popular notion of an ever-burning hell in which transgressors are supposed to suffer throughout eternity.   It reminds me of a conversation a long time ago in which a brother was advancing the view that Satan cannot die because he is spirit. He was making this assertion to justify the doctrine of the immortality of the soul and the eternal-hell theory. Upon hearing this remark, I kindly refer him to Ezekiel 28:18 where it is clearly stated that like the wicked, Satan himself will be burned to ashes for his transgressions.   It seems like there is a consensus among Bible writers around the idea that the unrepentant will be burned to cinders without any prolonged suffering. This position seems to be more consistent with the mercy of God, which endures forever, and the fact that He has no pleasure in the death of the wicked; not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (Ezek. 33:11; 2Pet. 3:9).   The Elijah message in the ministry of John the Baptist In contrast to this message of warning, the Lord gives an assurance that He will make every effort to restore true godliness in the world. He promised to send Elijah to turn the hearts of the people from transgression. Does this mean that the prophet Elijah will return from heaven to which he was translated to undertake this ministry?   According to Christ, Elijah has already come in the form of John the Baptist who did preach a powerful message of repentance preparing the way for the coming Messiah (Matt. 3:3; 17:11-13).   While we should accept the ministry of John the Baptist as a secondary fulfillment of the coming Elijah, we should expect a wider fulfillment of this prediction just before the end of the world. This prophecy will be fulfilled in the final proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom, which is synonymous to the everlasting gospel spoken of in Revelation 14.   The power of Elijah through the ministry of the two witnesses In his end of the world countdown in Revelation 11 we can see a clear hint of an Elijah ministry in the form of the two witnesses. These two prophets are to prophesy for 1260 days (42 months). It seems as if they have a special mission that is confined to a certain locality and set apart from the work of the rest of the people of God.   There are clear similarities between the ministry of Elijah and that of the two witnesses. Like Elijah they will have power to shut heaven during the period of their ministry - did not the Bible say that Elijah shut heaven and created a drought for a 42-month period? See 1Kings 17:1; Jam.5:17. Typical of the miraculous work of this spirit-filled prophet, the two witnesses will also have power to speak and cause fire to come down and destroy their enemies (2Kings 1:10-12).   Incidentally, the ministry of these two end-time prophets will also exhibit characteristics that are similar to the work of Moses! They will also be able to turn the waters into blood and smite the earth with plagues as much as they will. But this observation is also in keeping with Malachi's countdown of events leading up to the end of the world. In the same chapter where the fiery destruction of the earth is foretold, and where the end-time return of Elijah is announced, there is a clear warning to keep the Law of Moses!   It is very interesting that in light of an impending event that is to signify the end of the world, the prophet Malachi admonishes us to obey a law that, by conventional opinion, is supposed to be obsolete by then. In another article, we will look at the significance of this admonition in the context of the last days.     The final message in the spirit and power of Elijah When we examine the countdown of end-of-the-world events from the writings of different prophets, you will see a consistent testimony about the preaching of the final message to the world.  It is foretold in the scriptures that in the last days our God will have a people upon the earth who, in the manner of that spirit-filled prophet standing before king Ahab, will be bold and fearless in their utterances, and whose ministry will go forth in the spirit and power of Elijah. The work of the gospel will then be finished in a blaze of glory, turning "the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers" before the earth is visited with a curse (Mal. 4:6).     Retrieved from "http://www.articlesbase.com/religion-articles/end-of-the-world-countdown-the-end-time-return-of-elijah-4371090.html" (ArticlesBase SC #4371090) Start increasing your traffic today just by submitting articles with us, click here to get started. mayan prediction of the end of the world

There is so much information that is available today about the mayan prediction of the end of the world that I can understand why some researchers into this particular topic sometimes become overwhelmed and confused whilst studying it, this is because the prediction itself is so multi faceted and complex that not only is it not specific to the Mayan civilization itself but it's also not restricted to one area of research or thinking. When I'm discussing the topic of the mayan prediction of the end of the world with people the first thing I always like to point out is that this phrase "end of the world" at least in the context of the Mayan prophecies is not talking about a apocalyptic doomsday scenario that wipes out all life on the planet but rather its speaking of the end of the world as we know it, bringing about change and ushering in a new age that we will live in. However don't misconstrue what I'm saying there, by no means does this indicate that we will not be going through some tough times in the years ahead, you only need look around you every day into our world to realize there is at least some volatility to the mayan prediction of the end of the world. We see it in the form of natural disasters and in the general social makeup of society these days. And it is this aspect of the degradation of our society that I want to speak to right now, because whilst it is true that natural disasters may bring about the end of the world as we know it as foretold in the mayan prediction of the end of the world, what we see if we look around us is that mankind has been so misguided and mislead by both our leaders and each other that we have lost touch with the universe around us, and the affects of this are becoming dangerous for our society. You know you only need to turn on your television to see this, you instantly see channel after channel of mindless garbage designed to warp and alter your mind into a certain way of thinking, people are becoming more violent and even as individuals our thoughts of what is really important in life is being dramatically altered by the false ideology that the corporate media propagates to us. Whilst on the surface this degradation of our society may not appear to tie into the mayan prediction of the end of the world, when we step back and look at it from a different perspective we begin to see quite clearly that it is. Mankind has developed a level of idiocy and ignorance that is border lining on total insanity, we have men and women totally obsessed with the latest fashion, the latest gadgets and trendy things, with a complete disconnect from the natural world around them. Countless children's minds are being altered to buy into this superficial crap and in the long term this can only have the affect of creating a self centered un caring society, with this in mind, as technology progresses do you think that it will be long before as a society we begin to destroy each other in a world war three type situation because our horrible selfishness and greed takes over? Personally I do not. And whilst this is only one specific aspect of the mayan prediction of the end of the world, I particularly think its important because if we as individuals begin to alter our attitudes and ways of thinking, and pass these views on to our children, then at least one of these black scenarios can be avoided and since the nature of our society is completely up to our control I think It is worth taking the time to speak out against the nonsense that is being propagated to our world. The mayan prediction of the end of the world specifically talks about how the people will be ignorant to the changes that are approaching, and that whilst some will become awake and aware in the final days, the vast majority of people will be led like lambs to the slaughter because their souls had been turned black on the inside, Now I'm sure if your reading this right now you are not one of those people, and I'm quite sure you want to do something about it. It was Gandhi who said "be the change you want to see in the world" and this is very important even when talking about the mayan prediction of the end of the world, because even though we are moving into a new age, and yes we are going to experience some very challenging times, on the other side of this will be something so beautiful and fantastic we can only understand it in our dreams. Apocalypse!  Holocaust!  Armageddon!  The use of these words in the title of a book or movie guarantees interest and sales of any product.  Everyone wants to know the future!  What is going to happen?  People sense today that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis.  Books and movies focus on end-of-the-world scenarios with vivid catastrophic effects.  Precisely what the crisis will be varies based on personal beliefs and speculations.  Bible believers expect the second coming of the Messiah, Yahushua, at the end of the world.  The events leading up to the second coming have been endlessly questioned, debated and speculated about by countless millions. Speculation, however, is unnecessary.  Scripture itself indicates how old the Earth will be at the end of time.  Prophetic timelines provide details of events to take place as the Earth itself reaches the fullness of time allotted to it.  Knowing the age of the Earth thus provides insight into where we are in the stream of time and how close we are to the final events in Earth's history. There are two basic ways the age of the Earth is calculated: 1) scientifically and, 2) chronologically.  Scientists use carbon 14 dating to estimate their many  tens of thousands of years.   Christians, on the other hand, use the more accurate chronology of the sacred scriptures plus history recorded on papyrus, pottery, stones, etc.  The age of the Earth is mathematically easy to determine and very accurate if one believes the scriptures and uses the Bible record just as it reads. The larger and corresponding question is what happens at the end of time.  Establishing age can imply an end of that age.  The Bible itself has a lot of information regarding what happens as probationary time ends.  Too often, however, personal speculation has guessed at Earth's final events rather than using the prophetic time lines, types and anti-types, and the events established and provable by scripture.  Today, with computers and information available on the internet, it is possible to determine the age of the world according to the Bible account.  The Creator wants His people to know what is coming on the Earth.  He urged, "Take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand" (Mark 13:23, NKJV(1)).  He further warned, "But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." (Matthew 24:36) However, believers are clearly instructed to "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming" (Matthew 25:13). If it were not possible to know when the second coming is near, than there would not be so many repeated warnings to watch and be ready.   The fact that Yahushua repeatedly urged His followers to watch and be ready, reveals that it is possible to know when the end of the world is near.  "See, I have told you beforehand . . . So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, at the very doors" (Matthew 24:25, 33).  Heaven wants people to know the signs of Yahushua's soon return!  It was for this very reason that Paul was inspired to write: "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall" (I Corinthians 10:11 & 12).  An "ensample" is a type: something which is a model or pattern of what is to come in the future.  Scripture is full of these types and Paul emphatically states that they were given for the admonition: the warning and instruction, of those who will be living at the end of time.  The Biblical books of Daniel and Revelation contain information regarding the end of the world and the pouring out of the Wrath of Yahuwah at the end of time. It is of vital importance that everyone study and understand the significance of the time in which we are living.  This year, 5997, (fall of 2009 to fall of 2010, Gregorian solar time), means that the amount of time measured off for the probation of Earth's people is almost over. All should number their days and learn what is coming, and when, in order to be prepared for the second coming of Yahushua. This article will establish from scripture how the age of the Earth can be accurately calculated from the Biblical record. The Great Week of Time The week as a unit of time measurement is introduced in the first chapter of Genesis.  The Earth was created in six days and on the seventh day the Creator rested.  This format of six days of work plus one of rest has been applied to the time allotted for sin to run its course since the first century A.D.(2).  Since the week is made of six work days, the time for Earth's probation is understood to be six thousand years. The Epistle of Barnabas, written circa A.D. 70-131 clearly states: Of the sabbath He speaketh in the beginning of the creation: And God made the works of His hands in six days, and He ended on the seventh day, and rested on it, and He hallowed it.  Give heed, children, what this meaneth: He ended in six days.  He meaneth this: that in six thousand years the Lord shall bring all things to an end; for the day with Him signifieth a thousand years; and this He himself beareth me witness, saying; Behold, the day of the Lord shall be as a thousand years.  Therefore, children, in six days, that is in six thousand years, everything shall come to an end.  And He rested on the seventh day. This He meaneth; when His Son shall come, and shall abolish the time of the Lawless One, and shall judge the ungodly, and shall change the sun and the moon and the stars, then shall He truly rest on the seventh day.(3) Scripture itself supports the interpretation of Creation week as a symbol of the great Week of Time as a total of 7000 years.  Adam was told: "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die" (Genesis 2:16,17).  Adam did not die the very day he ate forbidden fruit.  However, he did die within the first prophetic day of 1,000 years because he died when he was 930 years old.  (See Genesis 5:5.)    The apostle Peter clearly understood this principle when he stated: "Beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (2 Peter 3:8).  The Creator intended us to understand the symbol of one day equaling one thousand years. Prophetic time can also use one day to symbolize one year.  When the Israelites could not enter Canaan due to unbelief, their sentence of punishment was that they would spend a total of 40 years wandering in the wilderness: one year for each of the 40 days the 12 spies spent spying out the land of Canaan.  "According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, namely forty years" (Numbers 14:34). Prophetic time was also linked to one year for every day within a week.  Moses was instructed that the Israelites were to let the Earth, the gardens and vineyards, rest for one year after being farmed for six years.  The seventh year was the "Sabbath" rest for the land.  During the sabbatical year, no planting or pruning could be done.  The people could harvest only that which grew naturally on its own.  After seven times of counting out the seven year cycles, the year of Jubilee was announced which was itself a second year of rest after the seventh and last sabbatical.  This was the year of Jubilee: 7 x 7 years = 49 years + 1 Jubilee year = the 50 year Jubilee cycle.   Like a wheel within a wheel, seven years and seven times seven years measured off the larger cycles of time containing fifty years each. In the count to Pentecost, the Hebrews were also told to count seven full or complete weeks, then add the 50th day to make the count "complete."  Seven weeks of seven days each, plus one day, is the count to Pentecost:  7 x 7 = 49 + 1 = 50. The equation of 6 work days + 1 Sabbath rest = 7 days, or one complete week, is what has been referred to by many over the last 2,000 years as the Great Week of Time.  Applying this same principle to millennia indicates that there will be six thousand years (six millennia) for the Earth to labor under a burden of sin, while the grand work for the salvation of souls goes on.  The seventh millennia, the sabbatical for the Earth to rest, is the one thousand years in heaven when the saints judge the wicked dead.  Scripture reveals that after the second coming of Yahushua, (Revelation 19:11-16), Satan is bound to this earth for 1,000 years.  (See Revelation 20:1-3.(4))  During this thousand years when the Earth rests, the saints are in heaven with their Redeemer, judging the wicked dead.  (Revelation 20:4.)  At the end of the 1000 year sabbatical, the wicked are raised to receive their punishment with Satan in the lake of fire until they are fully consumed and eternal death, not eternal torment, is their reward for treason against the government of heaven.  (Revelation 20:5-10, 12-14; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6.)  The foundation for the Great Week of Time was laid in Genesis when, at the time of the flood, Yahuwah decreed: "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years" (Genesis 6:3).  This is much more than just the years Noah preached about a coming flood.  This reveals that the total amount of time the Spirit of Yahuwah would strive with men, seeking to win them to repentance, would be a total of 6,000 years.  Before the flood, life spans were almost 1,000 years.  After the flood, the average lifespan rapidly decreased until Moses could say, "The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away" (Psalm 90:1).  Neither before the flood nor after was the standard lifespan 120 years.  Rather, when applied to Jubilee cycles, Yahuwah's statement in Genesis reveals that there would be a total of 6,000 years for sin to run its course!                                              120 (Man's days)                                            x 50 (Jubilee cycle)                                           6,000 years of probationary time To find the end, the beginning must first be located.  The Bible tells us where to start. Calculating the Biblical Years From the writings of Enoch to the present, people have added up the years of Biblical time to understand how much longer it will be until the end of the time granted to mankind.  To find the end, the beginning must first be established.  Now, at the end of Earth's history, the Creator is revealing His divine time design.  It is both a warning and an encouragement to the last generation. Bible scholars and lovers of truth the world over have, for hundreds and hundreds of years, studied the prophecies, chronologies and large time spans given in scripture.  Current religious conditions, political corruption, national and personal economic hardship, social upheaval and environmental catastrophes are all warnings of coming change.  People everywhere are awakening to the fact that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis.  People want to know when time and life as they know it will end.  It seems that everyone, both religious and secular, recognize that we are fast approaching the end of the world as we know it. This study will first use the Bible as it records the beginning of years, then add in the time of secular recorded history from 536 B.C. on to the present to calculate the age of the Earth. Opinions differ on whether Adam measured his age from Creation or the start of sin.  Some chronologists choose sin because time is not important when one expects to live forever.  Others choose Creation because the sun was to measure years and certainly Adam would have understood time and the cycle of years.  However, it really does not matter.  Either way makes no difference in the overall count. Genesis 5:3 states that Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born. This begins the first method of counting: adding the age of each generation at the time the first son was born.  The Bible gives a long list of "begats" that list the age of each patriarch at the birth of his first son.  This count, beginning with Adam, continues past the flood down to Jacob. This is the first time period, 1656 years, to which other distinct periods will be added until the year of transfer to time as recorded in secular sources in 536 B.C. is reached. There are two methods used to count the age of the Earth: Anno Mundi is a Latin term for counting from the beginning, numbering 1, 2, 3, and on forward in time from Adam. B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (anno domini, or, the year of our Lord) which counts backwards (B.C.) and forwards (A.D.) from the time of the Messiah. (Ussher's Chronology mistakenly placed His birth in A.D. 1.) Both methods yield the same count. (Scripture also gives ages for many people that will not be counted in this study because they are not in the lineage of the Messiah.) The following chart shows the patriarchs' ages: At birth of first born son Age at death Accumulated years from Adam in Anno Mundi time, counting forward from the beginning. It is most interesting to see the age relationships. Lamech, the father of Noah, could and probably did, talk to Adam. Abram most likely talked to Noah and Shem as they lived in the same general area before Abram journeyed away from his kinfolk in Ur of the Chaldees. There are seven distinct time periods that track the number of years from Adam down to 536 B.C. History from 536 B.C. on is firmly established in archeological and written records, so that particular year is used as the transition year between Biblically recorded time and secular time. The following chart shows these time periods using the B.C. method of counting backwards from the time of the Messiah. The first time period goes from Adam to the flood. The flood did not last a year, only forty days. Noah and his family did stay in the ark for a year, but that year is counted and calculated into the ages of Noah and his sons, and listed from the beginning of the flood, not after. The second time period starts at the beginning of the year of the flood and counts 391 years to the covenant made with Abram by the additional "begats." Controversy has existed over the age of Terah at the birth of his triplets.  The Bible says "And Terah lived seventy years and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran" (Genesis 11:26). Therefore, 70 years will be used.  Scholars have also debated which event in Abraham's life should begin the count of the 430 years of the covenant promise to bring his descendants, the Israelites, out of Egypt.  The Bible gives the answer. "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram and said unto him, . . . This is my covenant which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee;  Every man child among you shall be circumcised."   Genesis 17:1,10.  Abraham was age 99 when the covenant that began the 430 years started.  A covenant is always between two parties and must be ratified or accepted.  Circumcision was the method the Creator chose for Abraham to demonstrate his acceptance by his own blood.  This places the Exodus firmly at 1512 B.C.  From the Exodus until the reign of Solomon was another 476 years.  The reigns of the kings can be confusing because the Hebrew year began in the spring but did not change the year number count until the fall when the regnal year began.  (A "regnal" year is simply the date from which a king's reign is counted.)  This problem is solved by either rounding up or rounding down.  As long as the same method is always used the count will be the same. Solomon reigned for 40 years and then the kingdom was divided for another 390 years.  Judah went into captivity in 606 B.C. and was held for the 70 years that were determined upon the Hebrew people in the prophesy given to Daniel. When these seven time periods are added together, the total equals 3453 years.  Adding the 536 years of secular time that reaches from the end of the Babylonian 70-year captivity down to the year 1 B.C., equals 3989 total years.  This gives a beginning date for Adam's creation, or sin, of 3989 B.C.                         3453 (total of seven time periods given in Scripture)                                        + 536 (secular time from extra-biblical sources for release from captivity)                                                                           3989 B.C. The final step is to subtract the 3989 from the 6000 year total probationary time.  One year must also be added to accommodate for the change between B.C. and A.D. time counts.  This is only a mathematical correction. Dating goes directly from 1 B.C. to A.D. 1.  There should have been a year 0 between the years counted as 1. In conclusion, most people are familiar with the numbering system of James Ussher, Anglican Archbishop of Armagh, who wrote a 17th-century chronology of the history of the world formulated from a literal reading of the Bible. His year numbering is used in the King James Version of the Bible for any dates found there.  Following is a chart showing just where this chronology differs from Ussher.  It will be observed that there is very little difference between the two. For further information and a detailed explanation on these time calculations, as well as time frame comparisons, please download "The 7000-Year Bible Chronology." This power point study describes how the time segments have been calculated and compares segments of time with each other.  While the power point study is quite lengthy, the research is extremely interesting and invaluable for understanding this important topic. The total time calculation of 6,000 years reaches from Adam at 3989 B.C. to the year 2012. Since the year count begins in the fall, the 6,000th year, 2012, does not end until the fall of 2013, at the time of the fall Feasts. The year itself must be lived through to reach the 6,000-year ending mark. The next millennium would not begin until the end of that last year in the fall of 2013. The time allotted for mankind would not end until all of the 6,000 years had been lived out. If additional time is granted the world for repentance and the acceptance of Yahuwah's invitation to accept the sacrifice of His Son, Yahushua's gift of eternal life, it would be short at best. Any additional time of grace is far from assured. After the fall of 2013, every additional day granted by Yahuwah should be regarded as living on borrowed time. The righteous and the wicked will still be living upon the Earth in their mortal state
