May 21st 2011, End of the World? What should you do now?

"The end of the world is coming; 21st May 2011, 6:00pm, to be precise."   See the news today on TV, ABC, even CNN about "End of the World May 21st", "Judgment Day" or so called "Rapture Day"? Not only those medias, many people went to street holding huge signs read "The End of World May 21st 2011". Aren't you scared? What exactly does this come from? I have been thinking about those questions many times today.   That is the date predicted by Harold Camping who is a preacher from Oakland, CA. He is predicting this Saturday is the Second Coming of God. At about 6pm, May 21 of 2011, he predicts about 2% of the world's population will be immediately "raptured" to Heaven; the rest of us will be sent straight to the Other Place which I believe he means The Hell facing the awful judgment of God.   Have you been wondering, is that true? Or what if it is true?   Anyhow, I don't agree with him. I don't want to list out all my proofs here to prove Mr. Camping is wrong. If you are interested, check out this post on my own blog at the very bottom of this article. The point I want to say is, even it is true, and what can you do about it? It is not going to help anyone by just putting up a huge sign to let everyone know. Be a better person, love people around you. Do you really think God is creating us is to judge or repture us in the end? He wants us to glorify HIM, to love each other. We are sinners anyway. So, from right now right here, why don't you say hi to your wife and see if you can help on dishes after dinner, hand your husband a cup of tea and ask how was his work, give your kids a lovely kiss and tell them how much you love them, give your parents a call and see if they are doing all right.. and most important, remember to pray to ask God's mercy, ask God's a better world instead of the end of the world.   #2. In reality, in recent years or months, we've seen many natural disasters around the world, such as earthquakes in Japan, New Zealand and Haiti, flood in Australia. Mr. Camping states those are harbingers of impending doom. Well, let's stop mentioning Mr. Camping because I don't agree with him anyway. But, I think people do need to pay more attention on how to deal with those emergency situation. We know many people in Louisiana have some serious flood problem or the Kristina hurricane back in 2005, if that happened to you, what you should do.
